Release Notes

change set for 3.02
Removed NT Authority from the syncing process
Also made sure Server Level roles honored the listener name

Release Notes

I have added 2 new features:
New Features
1. Sync logins with changed passwords.
2. Sync Server level role users even if they are not assigned to a database in the AG

Key notes:
1. To use the change of password feature you MUST turn on the switch for PWDs (DropandRecreateLoginIfPWDMismatch) and SID (DropandRecreateLoginIfSIDMismatch) checker as well. ( I assume that if they want to start changing passwords then they are also cool with dropping logins that have different SIDs)
2. To use the Server Role Sync (IncludeServerRolesEvenIfNotAssignedToDB) you MUST turn on the switch for it along with the switch to sync the role assignments (SyncServerLevelRoleMembership). If you don’t it sends the user over with not server level roles. Also if you want Sysadmin Role Sync you still MUST turn this switch on (SyncServerLevelRoleMembershipEvenIfSysAdmin)

NOTE: Only logins with explicit permissions in a database in the AG is synced by default. If you need a login synced grant it permissions to one database in the AG.
Otherwise you can look to use the new features to also try and help.

All you have to do is download the ISPAC and the Script file.

The script file gets run on every Replica of the AG.

The publish the SSIS package to the SSISDB.

Then you need the AG Listener name and set that in the agent job or manual run along with the switches being turned on that you like.
